Meet Ashley

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I provide counseling services to adults ages 18 and older throughout North Carolina through convenient and flexible telehealth sessions designed to fit your schedule. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to share your story, explore vulnerabilities, and work toward meaningful growth. I value authenticity and connection in the therapeutic relationship, and when appropriate, I incorporate humor to help clients feel more comfortable and at ease. By combining my educational background with real-world clinical experience, I strive to provide compassionate, effective therapy tailored to your unique goals and needs.

My Career Experience

I have over 15 years of experience in clinical social work, counseling, and mental health care.

Over the years, I have worked in both outpatient counseling practices and inpatient hospital settings. While working on the inpatient behavioral health unit at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC, I specialized in crisis intervention and supporting adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. I provided counseling and support to patients and their families, helping them navigate difficult emotional experiences and connect with helpful resources.

I later transitioned into private practice, where I worked in a group practice in Wilson, NC for several years. I valued the collaborative approach between therapists, medical providers, and clients, which helped support continuity of care and promote long-term resilience and emotional wellness.

Current Counseling Specialties

I opened my private practice in 2021 to provide compassionate, individualized care to adults navigating life’s challenges. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, major life changes and stress, as well as perinatal and postpartum therapy. A significant focus of my work has been supporting women’s mental health, including high functioning anxiety, societal perfectionism, self esteem, and reproductive challenges/pressures.

I have completed advanced training through Postpartum Support International and earned my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). Through this specialized training, I support individuals experiencing infertility, reproductive trauma, postpartum challenges, and other perinatal mental health concerns that are often misunderstood or overlooked.
I am passionate about creating a supportive and compassionate space for individuals navigating these experiences, while also continuing to advocate for greater awareness, education, and access to perinatal mental health services and support.
